What is FigJam?

Figjam is a private practice  specialising in client services and professional development. Primarily targeted at social workers, we believe that the information and training available on the FigJam Aus website can also support the practice of other professionals in the helping field including: psychologists, counsellors, youth workers, case managers and anyone working within health and community services. 

How do you create your materials?

Our information is sourced from accredited journals and research papers. Our training and collaborative work within the community has enabled us to test the research elements and synthesise this for practice. 

What is your privacy policy?

All information obtained for FigJam Aus is recorded and stored to ensure it meets the Privacy Act (2009) QLD. 

 

What Training do you have?

Kathryn, who creates all of the content, courses and resources for Fig Jam Aus – Social Work Services has a Masters Degree in Social work and is a Doctoral Candidate completing studies in child protection. She also has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, a Bachelor of Education and  a Bachelor of Science. For more information visit the about page. 

 

Are supervision sessions eligible for Tax Refund?

Supervision is considered an expected practice within Social Work and as such is eligible for some tax rebates. We will provide a tax invoice for your session for you to provide to your accountant. 

What is your refund policy?

We understand that circumstances change and we have a flexible refund policy.

For booked sessions of supervision, the following applies:
-More than 24hrs in advance of appointment = Full refund
-Between 24-2 hours in advance of appointment = 50% refund
-Less than 2 hours before appointment = No refund
* Alternatively, you are able to reschedule your session if you would prefer with only a $20AUD admin fee

For  online training:
-Email request of refund within 3 days of purchase = Full refund and loss of access to material
-More than 3 days = non-refundable

We offer refunds on a discretionary basis for supporting materials purchased (worksheets, booklets etc.). Please contact us if you feel this is what you require and we will work with you to resolve the problem with the material before issuing the refund. 

No refunds are available on sale items. 

How long are supervision sessions?

Individual supervision sessions are approximately 60-90 minutes in duration. Group supervision is allocated at 120 minutes. 

 

Do you offer counselling or therapy services?

Yes, currently we offer telehealth only (pending current capacity) and affordable eTherapy (Self-Paced) options. These are available though our website figjamtherapy.com.au

Do I get a certificate of completion?

Yes! All social work online courses come with a certificate of completion when they are finalised. If you have any issues with accessing these, you can contact us at any time. 

What if I need support after hours?

Unfortunately we do not offer a crisis, after-hours support service. If you are requiring emergency assistance please refer to the following numbers:
